Production and shipping can run while the site is prepared. When the capsule houses arrive, the ground should be ready for them.

Access

A low-loader truck and a mobile crane must reach each final position. Measure the road width, turning circles, overhead lines and the ground bearing where the crane will stand.

Footings

Cabins sit on their steel base on level footings, usually concrete piers or strip footings. Your local engineer sizes them for the soil and the unit's weight, and sets them level before delivery.

Pier footings set out and levelled before the modules arrive.

Utilities

  • Power: a supply sized for the unit's load, from the grid, a generator or solar.
  • Water: a pressurised supply to each unit.
  • Wastewater: a connection to a sewer, a septic tank or a treatment system.
  • Data: if guests or staff need connectivity.

Approvals

Local planning, building and use permits apply to modular cabins as they do to any building. Start the process early; we provide the specifications and drawings your consultant needs.

Footing design, connections and approvals are handled locally. Any installation support from the supplier is confirmed per project.
