About capsule houses
A factory-built room in a rounded or faceted shell: a welded steel frame, an insulated aluminium shell and large Low-E glazing, fitted out before it ships and delivered as one module that is craned onto footings. They are also called capsule houses, capsule homes, capsule cabins or glamping pods.
The units come with a bathroom, water heater, lighting and air conditioning, and several layouts include living areas, so they can serve as compact homes. Whether you may live in one full-time is decided by the local planning and building rules for residential use, so check those first.
That depends on the climate, the use and the maintenance. The frame is welded steel and the shell is coated aluminium chosen for weather and corrosion resistance. Keep drainage clear around the footings, check sealant joints and glazing seals, and service the air conditioning. Warranty terms are set out by the seller in the contract.
Yes. Each module arrives on a low trailer and a mobile crane lifts it onto its footings, so the site needs access for both. Check road widths, overhead lines and the ground where the crane will stand.
Ask us. Where the manufacturer's schedule allows, a video call from the factory can be arranged, and we can share recent production and packing footage.
Products
Space capsule houses, prefabricated modular cabins manufactured by Royalstar Smart House, from a 15.7 m² studio to 38.9 m² two-bedroom units. The eight models on this site are the ones we recommend most often; other models in the manufacturer's range can be quoted on request.
According to the manufacturer's documentation, the standard configuration includes a separated wet and dry bathroom with toilet, shower and water heater, an entrance cabinet, lighting, curtains, a control panel and air conditioning. The exact list for your order is stated in the quotation.
Yes. The shell colour and pattern, interior finishes, some layout changes (for example an open kitchen) and a cold-climate package can be specified. Each change is priced and its lead time confirmed in writing.
The walls are insulated and the glazing is double-glazed Low-E. For cold regions the manufacturer offers thicker insulation, triple glazing, trace-heated water lines and auxiliary heating. Tell us about your site and we will confirm the right configuration.
Quotations & contracts
It depends on the model, configuration, quantity, port and delivery terms, and prices change over time, so we do not publish a price list. Ask for a current written quotation: it will state the model and configuration, quantity, port and Incoterm, what is excluded and how long the price is valid.
The selling company, its bank details and its responsibilities are named in your quotation and contract before any payment. Only pay the account named in the signed contract, and ask us if anything is unclear.
Enquiries for single units and for multi-unit projects are both welcome. Quantity affects packing, freight and unit price, so it is always stated in the quotation.
The model, the quantity and the manufacturer's production schedule when you order set the lead time. It is written into the quotation and the contract.
Delivery time is the production lead time plus the sea voyage, customs clearance and trucking to site. Production time is stated in the quotation; the voyage depends on the route and vessel and is confirmed when the shipment is booked.
Shipping & site
Cabins travel as complete, fitted-out modules. They are wrapped, braced and strapped, typically on flat-rack containers or as deck cargo. The packing method and port of loading are confirmed in the quotation.
That depends on your local planning and building rules, the intended use and the site itself. We share the specifications and documents your local consultant or authority needs; approval remains with the local authority.
Truck and crane access to the final position, level footings, a suitable power supply, water supply and drainage, and the local permits for your use. Our how-it-works page has a full checklist.
Placement and utility connections are usually handled by a local contractor. Any installation guidance or support from the supplier is confirmed per project and written into the quotation.
Documents & after-sales
On request we can share the manufacturer's EN 1090 factory production control certificate and EN 13501-1 test reports for specific materials. Each document applies to the scope stated on it; they are not a certification of a complete building for your country.
Warranty terms, spare parts and support responsibilities are set out by the seller in the contract. Ask for them before you sign so you can compare them with other offers.
